ASTMD 2843 Building Material Combustion and Decomposition Smoke Density
Testing Equipment
1. Scope of Application
It is applied to test static smoke release capacity when building
materials and its subordinate products, as well as solid materials,
are burned.
2. Standards
It conforms to GB/T8627 "Test Method for Smoke Density in
Combustion or Decomposition of Building Materials" and ASTMD 2843
"Determination Method for Smoke Density from Combustion or
Decomposition of Plastics".
3. Main Parameters
(1) Gas source: 95% propane gas or equal purity gas (customer
supplied).
(2) Combustion lamp: for Bunsen burner, the length is 260mm, the
nozzle diameter is 0.13MM, and the smoke box is 45 degree angle.
(3) Photoelectric system: light source is bulb, power 15W, working
voltage 6V
(4) Exhaust system: This machine is equipped with a powerful
exhaust fan. After testing, the exhaust gas can be discharged
outside.
(5) Smoke density measurement range: 0 ~ 100%
(6) Smoke density measurement accuracy: ± 3%
(7) Receiver: Silicon photocell, transmittance of 0%, for no light
pass, transmittance of 100%, light pass completely without shelter
(8) The focal length after treatment is 60 ~ 65 mm.
(9) Main burner pressure: 276 KPa (adjustable)
(10) Auxiliary burner pressure: 138 KPa (adjustable)
(11) Automatic timing, automatic ignition, automatic smoke exhaust;
luminous flux can be automatically corrected.
(12) Computer control, including a set of transmittance measurement
software, can output curve report forms, data automatic storage and
printer
4. Equipment Structure
(1) The machine is composed of two parts: combustion chamber and
computer control system.
(2) Size of combustion chamber: L300 * W300 * H790 MM
(3) The combustion chamber is made of high quality non steel plate,
machined by CNC machine tool, and the arc shape is beautiful.
(4) The internal parts are made of high quality stainless steel and
have excellent rust resistance.
